Take a Stand is a simple routine: you read a statement, students move to Agree, Disagree or Not Sure, and then they explain why. It takes five minutes to set up, needs no prep beyond printing, and works in any subject. It builds the habits behind good discussion and debate: giving a reason, listening, and changing your mind with no speeches and no pressure.

- Teacher Guide (Word): five ways to play (Agree/Disagree/Not Sure, the Line, Four Corners, Switch Sides, Silent Stand), discussion agreements, options for quiet and anxious students, debrief questions and look-fors
- Statement Bank: 64 statements in 8 themed sets, from light warm-ups to deeper ethical questions: Warm-Up, School Life, Technology and Screens, Fairness and Choices, Canada and Community, Environment, Ethics and Dilemmas, and ELA and Story Study
